About This Spot

Stepping into Aloha Stacks in Whittier, you immediately sense the warmth of a neighborhood spot that wears its Hawaiian heart proudly. The moment you walk through the door, a kind of easygoing aloha spirit settles in—a welcoming rhythm that's neither rushed nor too quiet, inviting you to linger a bit and soak in the casual, sunlit atmosphere.

The space strikes a balance between comfortable familiarity and a subtle island breeze carried through the open patio doors. Conversations hum at a pleasant level, and the attentive staff move with a genuine kindness that makes every guest feel like part of a laid-back gathering. Whether you choose to sit indoors or outside, there’s a gentle flow to the place that’s just right for everything from a solo morning retreat with a steaming cup to a lively brunch with friends.

In line with that relaxed vibe, the menu unfolds like a friendly invitation to explore classic Hawaiian flavors infused into comforting favorites. Think of savoring soft, subtly sweet ube pancakes that catch the eye as much as the palate or indulging in hearty, soulful plates combining tender kalua pig with creamy mac salad and fluffy white rice. Each dish feels thoughtfully curated to balance freshness and tradition, served in generous portions that keep the experience grounded and satisfying rather than showy.

The kitchen also knows how to meet those everyday cravings with elevated touches—a breakfast melt sandwich with melted cheeses and artisan sourdough, or a luscious crab omelette that wraps vibrant flavors into a comforting morning meal. For families, a kids’ menu quietly blends favorites with nourishing sides without sacrificing any of the care or heart found in the rest of the offerings.

What quietly stays with you beyond the food is the sense of community here. Staff are particularly attentive, anticipating needs with warmth rather than formality, and the rhythm of the place adjusts intuitively throughout your visit. There’s a feeling that this is more than just a spot to grab a meal—it’s a local pause where a moment of calm and a touch of island warmth meet in the heart of Whittier.

Aloha stacks is my favorite place to eat at. Not only does it offer Hawaiian cuisine but the staff welcome you in with a great attitude. Anything ube here is a must whether it is the ube pancakes, waffles, and ube latte it will leave your tastebuds happy. Their kalua pig with Mac salad and white rice is also delicious. They have indoor and outdoor seating available you just have to order at the front then they take the food to you.

So many things to say about this place! We visited 08/09 from NorCal for brunch and was blown away. Atmosphere was perfect. It was busy but not so loud you couldn’t hear. It was pretty toasty in there when the patio door was open but they closed it halfway through our visit and it cooled off almost instantly! They also bring you water right away which helped. Food was came out fast IMO considering how busy it was. Everything was delicious, I wish I had room to eat more. I got the Island Chilaquiles and it was seriously so good. For dessert we got a pineapple coconut cheesecake and it was to die for I also tried the Hawaiian latte (I believe they said it was macadamia coconut but correct me if I’m wrong) and it was perfect. I don’t like my coffee too sweet, but I also don’t like it black. I thought this was well balanced, not overly sweet but just sweet enough. DELECTABLE. They also had a baked goods and smoothies we didn’t even get to try because we are so full but I definitely plan on going back next time we are in the area!!

Restaurant was clean and was pleasant to walk into. Food was delicious, and big portions for a good price! My friend got the French Toast with strawberries and bananas and it was like a mountain of berries on top! I got the Eggs Benedict with tomato and avocado with the side of fried potatoes and it was delicious. I did order the Iced Ube Latte, which was very delicious, but they did forget to bring it out to me. I went up and one of the ladies noticed right away I had already ordered and quickly got me my missing latte. The service was very nice! Unfortunately I didn’t get the names of the ladies working today, but they were all very attentive and kind. Thank you to those that worked today! I appreciated the service.

They have the most attentive staff, that alone is great! The food has good flavor and it’s large portions. I ordered off the lite bites menu, scrabbled eggs and bacon. I added a side of ube pancakes, i thought they would be super sweet but they were actually perfect! I also had the ube latte with oatmilk which was also delicious.

This was my second visit to Aloha Stacks, and it was just as delicious this second visit as the first. Great service, wonderful atmosphere full of aloha, clean, and efficient. But the food was the star of the show, once again! This time, we ordered pork eggs Benedict, meatloaf loco moko, and split a short stack of fabulous ubi pancakes! The ubi pancakes, split between two of us, were heavenly, perfectly fluffy and moist. The eggs were properly cooked, the flavor in the meats was outstanding, and the potatoes were tasty, hot, and beautifully seasoned. The price point is great for the quality and portion sizes, here. I look forward to visiting Aloha Stacks again!

We came to Aloha Stacks for breakfast and got the Banana Macademia Nut Pancake, Pineapple Coconut Pancake, Macademia Nut Waffle, POG (Passion, Orange, Guava) Juice, Chicken Fried Steak, and Chicken Katsu Loco Moco. Banana Macademia Pancake and Pineapple Coconut Pancake was soft and fluffy. Waffle was fluffy and the Macademia nuts were soft which made it easy to eat. Chicken fried steak was juicy and had a nice flavour, not too salty. Chicken Katsu Loco Moco was crispy and juicy but needed a bit more flavour. Presentation of the food was excellent. Service was really good, waitresses kept coming back to check on how things were. Would recommend.

I came here on my lunch break and got the chicken pot pie. I originally was just going to get a couple pieces of spam masubi but I saw it on the daily special list and thought hey, why not? I haven't had chicken pot pie in years. Originally it was suppose to go with cornbread but they were out so the owner let me have two HUGE cookies instead. Overall, the pot pie was very tasty. It also came with an Asian style salad which was just ok. The delicious pot pie and the INCREDIBLE customer service was top-notch
